The cantilevered (without support arms) Plexus canopy is sure to add design and architectural strength to any building or facade. Each unit structure is fabricated with extreme attention to detail ensuring the aesthetic design is only outdone by its finish.
Architecturally, the main body component of the Plexus canopy comes with our fully protected pans, aesthetically eye pleasing louvers or one of our beautiful arrays of mesh fabrics. All the aluminum extrusions are fully welded and completely powder coated, therefore corrosion will never be an issue.
Structurally, the Plexus canopy is a top-of-the-line fabricated (not mechanically assembled) aluminum product that is typically designed to extend up to a five-foot projection. The Plexus structure utilizes the same high strength proprietary extrusions that our Aegis model offers. The cantilevered Plexus model will have a 3/8” thick plate welded to the back of the structure to supply a strong structural connection without the support arms.
Every Datum canopy is designed and fabricated with the highest caliber of quality and craftsmanship. Thus, as a standard, each canopy is fully coated (after fabrication and assembly) with a polyester powder designed to meet the performance criteria of the AAMA 2604 coating specification. Kynar and other premium coatings are also available.
